Online Bingo
Until now Bingo has been a game that one would picture being played by a little old gray-haired lady in a housecoat sitting in a Bingo Hall on Wednesday night. But times they are a changing.
Play at dream bingo one of the top places available to play bingo online.
With the inception of online bingo, people of all ages are being drawn to the ever-increasing popularity of virtual bingo halls. Online bingo, just like online poker and online casinos, is available 24/7, 365 days a year. Online bingo can be played with real money or play money. Although unlike online poker, we have yet to see as many freeroll bingo games as we see poker freerolls. (For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term “freeroll”, freerolls are tournaments with no entry fee that award a cash prize.)
Online bingo is played very similarly to live bingo, wherein you pick your bingo cards – usually up to 10 cards at a time and pay a set amount per card. The online bingo cards are randomly generated. Bingo cards have 25 squares including the middle “free” square. Each letter of the word Bingo has a column under it with 5 numbers. The numbers in the B column are between 1 and 15, in the I column between 16 and 30, in the N column (containing four numbers and the free space) between 31 and 45, in the G column between 46 and 60, and in the O column between 61 and 75. Every online bingo game has a caller or a display board for the bingo numbers. The game pattern is also displayed. Some sites will automatically mark the numbers on the card for you.

Each bingo game has a pattern that needs to be covered on you card to achieve “Bingo”. For instance, some games just have one line, vertical, horizontal or diagonal. Other games have shapes made like a tree or a plane or a T that use certain squares on your bingo card to make up the picture. Then there is the complete card covered game in which all squares on you bingo card must be covered to claim a bingo.

The bingo balls are randomly generated by each website. Once a player has covered all the necessary square and calls BINGO, the numbers stop coming up and play is halted, just like in a live bingo game, until the house can verify if there is a winner. There are many times when more than one person will claim bingo on the same number The servers will then choose the winner by determining which player hit the button first with the right spaces covered. Online bingo games are played in time intervals, usually every 5-7 minutes. So your wait time in between games can vary.
Playing online bingo just can just as fun if not more fun that sitting amongst 68 senior citizens in a poorly lit, smoke-filled bingo hall. The only drawback to online bingo is that when you shout “BINGO” in your home you don’t get the same reaction from your dog as you would from the retiree at the front table of the bingo hall that only need B14 to win.
Bingo, whether online or live, is a simple game that takes minimal skill to play.
